II. Job Responsibilities

 

Packaging Design Conceptualization and Planning

 

  • Research market trends and competitor packaging, analyze consumers’ aesthetic preferences, usage habits, and functional requirements for water bottle packaging to provide creative directions and inspiration sources for design.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department and product R & D team to determine the brand positioning, target market, and product characteristics of the water bottle, and formulate a packaging design strategy that conforms to the brand image and market demand.

 

Design Execution

 

  • Be responsible for the overall appearance design of the water bottle, including the bottle shape, size ratio, pattern decoration, etc. Adopt a cylindrical bottle body design with smooth and simple lines, which conforms to the ergonomic principle and is easy to hold; the height-to-diameter ratio of the bottle body is carefully calculated to ensure visual coordination and beauty.
  • Design the wide mouth bottle structure to facilitate users to add ice cubes, fruits, etc., and enhance the user experience. At the same time, considering the importance of the sealing performance of the wide mouth bottle, cooperate with the engineering team to optimize the design of the bottle mouth and cap to ensure good sealing and prevent leakage.
  • Conduct creative design of the packaging pattern, mainly in a simple and clear style, highlighting the brand logo and product information. Select fresh and natural colors and match them with the transparent glass bottle body to show the pure and healthy image of the product.
  • Use professional design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) to produce packaging effect drawings to provide the team with an intuitive visual display for evaluation and decision-making.

 

Material Selection and Supplier Communication

 

  • Research and analyze different types of glass materials, comprehensively considering factors such as material transparency, strength, heat resistance, environmental protection, and cost, and finally select suitable high borosilicate glass as the bottle body material to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Be responsible for the selection of the transparent plastic cap, contact multiple suppliers, obtain samples and conduct test comparisons. Focus on the material quality, sealing performance, opening and closing convenience, and compatibility with the bottle body of the plastic cap. After screening, a food-grade polypropylene (PP) plastic cap was determined, which has good flexibility and durability and meets relevant hygiene standards.
  • Establish a close cooperative relationship with the selected material suppliers, communicate and coordinate details such as material specifications, quality standards, and delivery dates to ensure the on-time, high-quality, and quantitative supply of packaging materials.

 

Packaging Testing and Optimization

 

  • Organize and participate in various testing work of the packaging, including drop test, sealing test, compression test, etc., to ensure that the packaging can effectively protect the product during transportation, storage, and use, and avoid problems such as damage and leakage.
  • According to the test results, optimize and improve the packaging design. For example, add anti-slip design at the bottom of the bottle to improve the stability of the water bottle when placed; adjust the thread structure of the cap to enhance the sealing performance; optimize the internal structure of the packaging carton to strengthen the fixation and buffering effect on the water bottle.

 

Project Coordination and Communication

 

  • As a core member of the packaging design project, maintain close communication and collaboration with cross-departmental teams (including marketing, sales, procurement, production, etc.). Regularly participate in project meetings, report the design progress to the team, timely understand the needs and opinions of all parties, and coordinate and solve problems and conflicts that arise in the project.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external design agencies, printing factories and other partners to ensure the accurate transmission of the packaging design and the smooth progress of production and manufacturing. Provide detailed design documents and technical requirements, and supervise the color calibration, process quality and other links during the printing process to ensure that the quality of the packaging finished product meets expectations.
